EI is measured through an assessment developed at Swinburne University. This Genos model measures Emotional Intelligence not personality or other unrelated abilities. This Genos assessment can be used as a 360 tool or self assessment. It measures 5 dimensions, which are:
- Recognizing and expressing emotions
- Understanding the emotions of others
- Decision making
- Managing emotions
- Controlling emotions
The assessment, combined with developmental strategies, has been proven to be highly successful in increasing emotional intelligence and creating more productive and satisfied, employees and a far more harmonious workplace.
